Green Wolfe – a video about me on YouTube
Michael Wolfe
Environmentalist, educator, lifelong resident.
Everywhere I go in Richmond, I’m hearing the same message – more and more of us are concerned about climate change and the effect it’s having on our wonderful, vibrant city.
Join me on a tour of the Garden City Lands and you’ll experience first-hand the effects of climate change. You’ll also see more and more environmental pollution – in the air and on the land as our city grows.
Everyone is eager to learn simple steps we can take individually and as a community to help improve our environment for our families and for generations to come.
I’ve made it my life’s goal to learn as much as I can – and to pass on my knowledge – to help preserve Richmond’s environment. Currently I’m a Richmond school teacher.
I put my background in conservation biology to good use during the summer months and weekends as an environmental consultant – for residents and businesses.
What I hear every day is that more and more residents and business are looking at the bottom line and are interested in being greener not just to save the environment, but also to save dollars.
My first priority if elected as councillor would be to raise awareness of the methods that will help the City go green and save dollars, and, in turn, pass those savings on as incentives for businesses and residents – in the form of lower taxes and fees.
All of us want to run our businesses and our homes so that our community is more sustainable. I have the expertise to make this a reality.
As a volunteer, I’ve tirelessly worked towards:
· promoting more urban agriculture so we know our food is safe and sustainable for our children; and
· ensuring the health of Richmond residents at the heart of policy making.
I was born and raised in Richmond and I have a B.Sc. (Conservation Biology) and a B. Ed. (Middle Years Education)
What I can do for you?
If elected, I promise to work tirelessly to save costs by going green and to pass these cost savings onto businesses and residents in the form of lower property taxes and user fees.
I need your help to get elected as a City Councillor. I’m asking for your help.
Would you like to volunteer? Would you like to email me your concerns and ideas? Would you like to meet me for coffee?
